Design Purpose

The MU300 motor unit converts electrical energy from the IRC5 drive system into controlled rotation of an external axis — a positioner, track, or tilting mechanism — so that the workpiece or tool moves in coordinated motion with the robot. The integrated resolver feeds rotor position back to the IRC5 controller, allowing the system to synchronize external axis motion with the robot’s path in real time.
