| Detailed Technical Parameters | ABB does not publish full CPU / memory specifications openly. The unit must match your controller's computer-unit designation, RobotWare version, installed options, licenses and storage media — confirm from the controller label and your system backup before ordering. |
This is the primary computer of the IRC5 controller — the module that actually runs RobotWare and turns the cabinet into a working robot controller. It is not a fieldbus adapter or a power assembly; it sits at the main computer-unit position and carries the system's software identity: RobotWare version, options, licenses and storage media. That is why it is a configured spare rather than a bare board — the hardware and the controller's software baseline have to belong together.
The two PCI slots are the key architectural difference from the earlier one-slot DSQC1000: they provide the documented expansion path for interface and option boards. Because the installed options and the computer identity are linked, a swap is a project-level event — the existing RobotWare, options, licenses and backup must be preserved and re-applied, not just the physical module changed.
