Design Purpose

  • Controller completely dead — no indication at all at the cabinet, no pendant display, no drive activity.
  • Present mains but no start-up — the incoming supply is healthy and the module is warm, but the main computer never boots.
  • Intermittent restarts or brownouts — the controller reboots when a heavy load switches in, such as when the drives energise or the cabinet fans start.
  • One part of the cabinet drops out — cooling fans stop or an I/O rail disappears while the controller itself keeps running, which points at an output channel rather than the whole module.
  • Faults that only appear when the cabinet is warm — the cell runs cold from a start-up and fails after an hour or two of production.
