The KUKA 00-245-213 is a KPP 600-20-3x20 UL Power Pack (KUKA part of the KRC4 drive stack). It is the integrated module that rectifies the mains supply into the cabinet DC bus and also provides three axis servo outputs, so a single slot in the KRC4 cabinet both powers the bus and drives up to three robot or positioner axes.

Design Purpose

The KPP 600-20-3x20 is the power-and-axis module of a KUKA KRC4 cabinet. It converts the incoming 3-phase mains into a stable high-voltage DC bus and simultaneously provides three matched servo axis outputs, each rated 17 A continuous. Because it carries both the bus supply and the first axes, a single failed KPP can take the whole cabinet offline — swapping the failed module on the same controller generation restores both the bus and the driven axes without touching the robot arm or the rest of the drive stack. The 3x20 rating (three 17 A axes) must match the driven axes when selecting a replacement.

Common Failure Modes

• No DC-bus voltage, where internal rectifier or capacitor damage leaves the cabinet unpowered.
• Undervoltage faults at start-up (母线欠压), often from input phase loss, ageing or weak bus capacitors.
• Overcurrent trip during operation from overload, falling insulation or a servo / motor short on the driven axes.
• EtherCAT communication loss, breaking the link between the Power Pack and the KRC4 controller.
• Internal component failure after years of service in a warm, high-duty cabinet.
