ABB does not feed an IRC5 cabinet from one large supply. Generation and distribution are separate boards, and this is the distribution one. Putting the routing, fusing and branch protection on a dedicated board means a problem on one part of the cabinet can be located and dealt with at that branch instead of removing power from everything. It also means the controller can usually tell you which part of the power chain has dropped rather than simply going dark.
That split gives maintenance a short diagnostic rule. Symptoms that appear on drives or motor circuits point at this board; symptoms that appear on I/O, sensors or logic point at the DSQC 661. In practice the two are often ordered by mistake because their part numbers sit next to each other — so it is worth confirming which half of the chain your fault pattern actually points to before you buy.
