The KSD1-16 is the single-axis power stage of a KUKA KRC2 cabinet. It takes the cabinet DC bus (supplied by the KPS power module) and turns the controller's motion commands into precise motor current for one axis, with the 16 A class built for lighter payload robots. Because each axis has its own drive module, one failed KSD1 only disables that axis — swapping the failed module on the same controller generation restores the axis without changing the robot or the rest of the drive stack. The KSD1-16 is the KRC2-era drive; it is not used in KRC4 / KRC5 cabinets, which use the KSP 600 series instead. Within the KSD1 family it is the lower-current sibling of the KSD1-64 (00-117-345).
Request a quote: Send your KUKA part number (00-122-285) or the KRC2 controller label / drive-stack photo. We confirm the axis configuration, current class, condition and lead time, then send a quotation — before you place any order.
