  • DC OK indicator off with a correct input voltage present.
  • No output, or an output outside +24 V to +27 V, measured at connector X2 under load.
  • Voltage correct at the module but low at the load — voltage drop in the cables and connectors rather than a failed supply.
  • I/O devices drop out while the controller keeps running — the 24 V rail is failing while the rest of the cabinet is still powered.
  • Intermittent resets when field devices switch in — the rail sags as I/O load comes on.
  • Reads healthy unloaded, collapses under load — worth remembering the 2 A minimum load requirement before drawing conclusions.
  • Physical signs — a sharp smell, discoloured or warped housing, or heat damage around the terminal block.
