InquiryABB 3HAC025097-001 is the DSQC 639 main computer board of the IRC5 controller — the board that runs RobotWare and the RAPID application, plans the motion, handles I/O and fieldbus traffic and serves the FlexPendant and the engineering connection. It is the board-level article; the same computer is also supplied as a boxed unit under 3HAC025527-004 and 3HAC041443-003. Send us the label on your existing board and your RobotWare version, and we will confirm the match before you order.
| Category | Robot controller main computer board (IRC5) |
| Brand | ABB |
| ABB Product Name | Main computer DSQC639 |
| Article Number | 3HAC025097-001 |
| Function | Central processing and system management for the IRC5 controller: execution of RobotWare and RAPID programs, motion planning, I/O and fieldbus handling |
| Definition | The computer module that hosts the robot controller’s operating system and application. It sits above the axis computer and the drive modules in the control chain. |
| Form Factor | Board level, supplied without the metal housing. The same computer is supplied as a boxed unit under 3HAC025527-004 and 3HAC041443-003, so the article number on your records may differ from the one on the removed unit even though the hardware is the same. Tell us which form your cabinet takes. |
| Series Compatibility | ABB IRC5 controllers, including the single cabinet and the compact variant, on systems running RobotWare 5. Confirm your cabinet generation, RobotWare level and hardware revision before ordering. |
| Hardware Revision | The article is published in several hardware revisions, marked with a suffix on the board (for example /08, /11, /13 and /16). The suffix decides which RobotWare versions the board can run, so order against the full number shown on your existing board. |
| Upgrade Path | ABB points to upgrade kit 3HAC079227-001, which takes the controller to the newer DSQC 1053 generation and requires RobotWare 5.30 or higher. A like-for-like replacement at the same configuration is a different route — tell us whether you want a swap or the upgrade, and we will quote accordingly. |
| Net Weight | 0.76 kg (gross weight 0.76 kg) |
| Country of Origin | Malaysia (MY) |
| Customs Tariff Number | 85389091 |
| Minimum Order Quantity | 1 piece |
| Service Status | ABB has discontinued the DSQC639 generation, so this board is a maintenance item for installed IRC5 systems rather than a new-build choice. Worth factoring into spares planning for a fleet still running it. |
| Processor and Memory Configuration | Varies with the hardware revision. Tell us the revision on your board and the RobotWare level in your controller and we will confirm what applies to your unit. |
The board is deliberately split from the rest of the control chain. It handles everything that is not time-critical at servo rate: program execution, path planning, coordinate transforms, I/O scanning, fieldbus communication and the operator and engineering interfaces. The hard real-time work of closing the servo loops sits further down the chain in the axis computer and the drive modules, which take their references from here. Keeping those layers separate is what lets one computer design serve robots of very different sizes and axis counts.
Two practical consequences follow from that position. First, there is no graceful degradation: if this board does not run, the cell does not run. Second, the robot’s identity lives on it — the system parameters, calibration data and program set are held by the controller, so a replacement is only straightforward if a current backup exists. That is why the revision suffix and the RobotWare level matter as much as the part number itself.
Before you replace this board:
Send us the article number and revision printed on your existing board, your RobotWare version and the quantity you need. We will confirm the matching article and give you a quotation.
