Design Purpose

The PDB-01 (3HNA006147-001) is the central power distribution board of an ABB IRC5 robot control cabinet. It receives the cabinet's incoming supply, conditions and regulates it, then distributes stable 24 V DC to the cabinet's I/O modules, safety units, servo drives and sensors through multiple independent fused or protected branches. Because the PDB feeds every powered subsystem with protected power, its integrity is fundamental to cabinet-wide power health - a fault on one branch can drop an I/O group or a drive, and a board-side fault can trigger drive-power or DC-link errors across the cell.

Safety & Handling Notes
  • De-energize and lock out: the cabinet carries hazardous mains and DC-bus voltage. Disconnect, lock out and verify 0 V before opening the cabinet or working on the board; only qualified personnel.
  • Fuse replacement: only replace fuses with identical rating and fast / slow-blow characteristic. Using higher-rated fuses can damage the circuit board or downstream modules.
