As the measurement interface of the S4P/S4P+ generation, it is the predecessor of the IRC5-era SMB (Serial Measurement Board). Correct generation matching is essential - an SMU-02 fits S4P/S4P+ controllers only and is not a drop-in part for IRC5 systems.
