InquiryThe KUKA 00-228-934 is the SEMD mastering set, the electronic zero-point calibrator set that KUKA specifies for mastering the robot axes. It is the instrument used to set and verify the zero reference of KUKA robot axes: during mastering, the mechanical position and the electronic position of the robot are brought into alignment, and that alignment is what every motion program runs from. The set is supplied in its case and carries the SEMD sensor, the calibration box and the connecting cables needed for the measurement. Send us the article number on your instrument or the robot nameplate, and we confirm the match before you order.

Send us the article number on the instrument or your robot nameplate, and we confirm the correct set and sensor type before you order.
The SEMD mastering set gives the controller a measured reference of the mechanical zero position of each axis. During mastering, the mechanical position and the electronic position of the robot are aligned; every motion program and every taught point is then measured from that reference, so a small offset in the reference becomes a position error that grows with every axis. The set contains the sensor that reads the reference, the calibration box and the cables that carry the signal, all packed in the case that protects them in the workshop. KUKA states that the mastering kit must be checked and verified by KUKA at intervals of 1 year, so the instrument has a verification date of its own and belongs on the service plan of the cell. When the set is worn, damaged or missing, accurate mastering cannot be completed — replacing it on the same controller generation restores the calibration path.
