The wrist axes 5 and 6 sit at the end of a long, constantly moving upper arm. Running each conductor back to the cabinet separately would create a thick, stiff and failure-prone loom. ABB instead routes the power and feedback for both wrist motors through one defined harness path — out from the division point R2.M5/6 to the axis-5 connectors R3.FB5 / R3.MP5 and the axis-6 connectors R3.FB6 / R3.MP6. This keeps the wrist flexible and makes the wiring serviceable as a single assembly rather than a nest of loose cables.
That is also why the harness is revision-specific. Its length, connector set and clamp positions are tied to the exact upper-arm version and robot variant. Mechanical similarity between two robots does not make their harnesses interchangeable — the documented article number, robot variant and harness revision must match. This is therefore a confirmed-fitment spare, not a generic cable you cut to length.
